Nursery - Monkseaton
Ofsted recently raised their criteria for achieving an Outstanding grade in their early years inspections. Providers must now achieve an Outstanding grade across all 4 areas in order to receive an overall grade of Outstanding.
Therefore we are extremely proud that our Monkseaton Nursery has once again achieved the highest of grades and been awarded OUTSTANDING in October 2019.
The inspector said that under the new criteria, she had not yet awarded a setting an overall Outstanding grade - until she inspected Children's Choice! She was unable to make any recommendations as she felt that everything that we currently did was indeed outstanding.

Our first class nursery caters for children from 3 months to 5 years. Monkseaton nursery is a purposely designed open plan environment, making it a safer nursery for your child with full visibility in all areas at all times. CCTV also continuously records internal play, sleep and outdoor areas.The nursery offers far above the minimum space requirements per child, allowing us to provide additional dedicated areas including a sensory room, dance studio, allotment and outdoor stage area for children's performances.

Debra has over 26 years’ experience in childcare and is proud to lead Children’s Choice Nursery’s reputation for excellence in childcare. Debra joined the team at Children’s Choice in 2003 and has had experience in both private and public sector nurseries around the UK.
Debra cultivates a strong team of highly qualified, dedicated, motivated and professional staff who strive to provide the best play and learning environment for the children. Together they have achieved a grade of ‘Outstanding in all areas’ by Ofsted. Debra also works hard to drive standards and achieve numerous awards for best practice in childcare.
