Our wraparound offers full or part time childcare services for ages 3 to 10 years. This can include breakfast, lunch and a light tea. We provide full time care from 8am (or earlier by arrangement) to 6pm, and a ’wrap-around’ service for children in school nursery or school care. The school nursery is opposite wraparound, and shares the same entrance hall. For example, if you just require care from 3.30pm to 6.00pm, we will collect your child from their class (at nursery or school) and take them along to the onsite wraparound provision. Our Wraparound continues to operate from within school premises during all school holidays from 8am to 6pm, and is available to all children, not just those attending Southridge First School.
Nursery Managers -
Katie Marshall (BA Hons in Children and Young People)
Katie has 10 years’ experience in childcare, 3 years in local nurseries within schools and Sure Start centres whilst training and 7 years working within private nurseries, 4 of which have been at Children's Choice. She has worked her way up from Nursery Officer to Nursery Manager. Katie has a daughter of her own and is learning the stages of motherhood. Her wealth of knowledge in the early years curriculum often assists at home just as much as it does whilst she’s at work. Katie is one of the safeguarding appointed persons at Wraparound as well a SENCO; working with parents and carers to continually provide the best possible care for our children. On an ongoing basis Katie takes part in further training keeping abreast of all childcare best practices.
Danielle Watts (BTEC Nationals in Childrens Care, Learning and Development)
Danielle has over 10 years’ experience in childcare working in a range of local nurseries and schools, over 3 of these years being at Childrens Choice. She has worked her way up from an Early Year’s Educator to Nursery Manager. Danielle has three children of her own and has a very caring nature with a great passion for children’s Care and Development. Danielle is one of the SENCO/Behaviour management officers as well as the parental involvement officer. She also takes part in lots of further training inside and outside of the setting, updating knowledge and learning new skills.
