Sports Day

Every year the nursery has a fun filled sports day for our children we run this event because the children absolutely love it but also it greatly helps promote healthy life styles from a very young age.

We had all sorts of races, including - sack races, egg and spoon races and the children really got into the event laughing and cheering each other on.

Nursery Officer Michelle Kerr said “The children had an absolutely fantastic day, we were all so very proud of them. We must thank the parents too, we had such a big turn out this year and each parent got behind every child, not just their own, supporting them with loud cheering throughout each race!”

A special ‘Thank you’ to those dads that joined in and created additional laughs by taking part in the separate daddy’s sack race.

After an event full afternoon of sport the children worked up quite an appetite and enjoyed a very welcome picnic at the park with sandwiches and fresh fruit and plenty of fruit juice and water.
