Awards

Children’s Choice is continually striving to improve its care and education programme.

In 2003 we were presented with the prestigious Investors in People award. To achieve this the nursery had to demonstrate continuous long-term commitment to its staff through ongoing training and personnel development programmes.

In 2004 we won an award from North Tyneside’s Surestart Strategic Partnership for outstanding Parental Contribution. This was for really maximising our parents input into nursery life. In 2005 we were the only nursery in North Tyneside to be awarded two prestigious awards. One for category of Being Healthy for introducing ‘Children’s Yoga’ and the other for Enjoying and Achieving for our non-adult directed art activities.

We will soon be awarded the National Day Nurseries Association Quality Counts Accreditation, awarded on the achievement of 15 different quality standards.

The nursery also operates an in house quality evaluation system’. This ensures that policies are evaluated, procedures are updated as appropriate and that staff, parents and children’s opinions are regularly sought.
